I was going through some old emails, searching for a birthday when I came across one that had a John Gutmann photograph, Lovers Looking at Lovers, 1939. I don't remember sending it nor the photo but immediately I wanted to write something based on it. That probably was my original attention but it wasn't the time to write it. Another photograph I discovered was Portrait of a Marriage. It just so happens that I am writing a lot about love. I don't know if it's the warmer weather or natural rise as I've been writing about the darker side. Love gone wrong, if you will. Anyway, I am going to ride that wave until it breaks and add it to the edit pile. A little about John Gutmann. He was a German born, American photographer and painter. Jewish, he could not exhibit his paintings or obtain work in Nazi Germany, so he emigrated to the United States. Here is is more information from his Obituary: I hope the weather is turning for the better wherever you are today and that you have a great weekend!
