Time keeps on slipping, slipping.
Yep, that’s it. I feel like I woke up, went out to run errands, ate, baked and the day is over. Ha! It was beautiful Spring day though. Lower 50s, a lick of sunshine, and dampness in the air. It wanted to rain but hadn’t while I was out, for which I am grateful.
I started utilizing a spreadsheet to keep track of my submissions. Two so far. I am also using it to highlight the places I really want to submit to so that I can focus on when their windows open. I know that should be Submissions 101, but my brain doesn’t work in an orderly fashion when it comes to stuff like that. I’m like, “Ooo! A call, a call!”
There are seven, I guess you could call dream journals, but I don’t dream about journals. They are places that a writer, whose work I love, published in. Journals that I’ve read and read, even through the archives to see where their tastes lay then and now. Journals that I love to read.
I will post a link to it the spreadsheet below. I found it on-line, downloaded it and then tweaked it for my use.
Still working out of Ordinary Genius, A Guide for the Poet Within and tomorrow, I’m going to finally crack open Black Women Writers at Work.
Going to transcribe a few more index cards and then hopefully write out something based on a “Title Prompt" the title? Mother and Daughter.
You all have a great night, or day. Wherever your place may be.
