It was a long weekend. We had a soft opening and it was a slow start. But that is how these ventures begin when you are doing everything yourself. We are depending on word of mouth but we are offering up delicious food, so we know the word will spread.
I didn’t write this weekend. I am this morning. Started something based on a photo I will post below. The title in my head is Sisters but that was more of the prompt.
As most of us know old photos are wonderful ways to spark a piece. Create your own setting. Sometimes, I’ll start with my birth year and a place, Chicago or Mississippi. You can look up a place that you’d love to go to, or a place that your parents went. Look up a place that is no more. Sometimes I will look up locales from a show that I like. Pinterest is a good place to search as well as you can save photos that speak to you, label the board prompts they will also send you photos based on your likes and saves. Just another outlet for when you are feeling stuck. Today I stumbled onto David Peabody, the photographer who shot the second photo and added a link below because there are some GREAT photos that should ignite.
