One of the pieces I am editing is one that I submitted back in March and was declined. Reading through it I am a bit horrified at the middle part of it. It is so muddled I’m at a loss to how I thought it was ready? It was something that had other eyes on it as well, so I don’t know if it was just something that worked at the time, my train of thought, it was definitely written in a burst of stream of consciousness.
So, yeah.
In other news it is the first (now second day) of Autumn and I am SO thrilled. It is 66 degrees outside and I hope that we have a full season and not two weeks of coolness, a rainy Halloween, and then BAM! Snow. Which happens more often than not out here?
But I digress. It is Sunday. A day of chores, of catching up, of rest. I spoke to my dad who told shared a hilarious aside. He went to his local Farmer’s stand to by greens. He asked what they had and she answered, Turnip, we’ll have Mustard next week. So he asked for a couple of pounds of the Turnip greens and she replied, We don’t sell it by the pound, but by the half bushel. So, guess who walked away with a laundry bag of greens? I am hoping that he drops of a container or two tomorrow, since he just finished cooking some off today.
I am rereading Agatha Christie’s Hallowe’en Party. It is that time of the year, for me anyway. And I also want to see A Haunting in Venice. Even though I have a feeling it will not resemble the book, unless the connection between the two is actually the murder(s) that occur in the book?
Anyway, have a wonderful Sunday and take care of yourself!
