We have done our running around for the day and now I am back at my desk. Alfio bought me a new monitor. One of those that are wider and curves in at the sides. He wants me to be as comfortable as possible since I am always at my desk writing or researching. Sometimes I watch movies. I am attached to my desk when home alone. It is great to be married to a fellow artist he gets my quirks and thought processes. I'be dabbed a scent I created at the Aroma Workshop. I could not tell you what's in it except Fig leaves for sure. I had them name it Sicily, 1972. An homage to my husband and myself. It sets me in place when I remember to dab it on. Last night, while he and my daughter Sofia watched His Dark Materials, I watched an episode of Agatha Christie’s Hjerson. I love detective shows, usually the darker the better but this one leans light, which I also appreciate. Tongue and cheek humor, nice scenery, colors that Pop! Also, when I watch shows or movies that are subtitled, it forces me to actually watch and not multi-task (write.) I did pause it a couple, few times to jot out some pieces that were in my head. Otherwise, we all had our mini-breaks of time together and apart. Back to now. Alfio is in the kitchen experimenting. I smell sesame oil and something else, maybe onions? And I am going to write but also have some ideas for desserts that I want to create this week. Flavors dancing around in my head. I am excited! 43 degrees today. The sun is shining. My soul is good. Hope you all are having a good weekend.

You two are so sweet together. I love Agatha Christie's books and adapted works. David Suchet as Hercule Poirot is the best!
Fig is one of my favorite scents. We have two trees on our property and an abundance of fruit every July.
