Life’s been full of work and chores and finally the weekend so there’s extra rest. Our 3 cats allowed us to sleep in past our normal get up time, so we were thankful there! I’m trying to get through a book called Quotations from Chairman Bill” - some of it I understand and some not. I haven’t written much, though I have some ideas for Substack posts.
I was a mother before I married, sharing two boys with my first husband. But I gained two girls when I married my current husband. Their mother moved eight hours away a year after our union, and I’ve had to figure out the world of girls these last 15 years. Some days I think I’ve really screwed it up, but then they tell me out of the blue that they appreciate me and how I’ve been there for them. Mothering--all kinds--is hard, and we can only do our best and let God work out the rest.

I've been a bit quiet the past few days as I honor my belated grandmother, but I have also been working on a piece on the latest The Last of Us episode. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
