This morning. A dead goose on the side of the road. My first time ever time seeing that in all of my midwest suburbs, it was odd. I had to slow to take it in because at first, I thought, “hawk” but the coloring was wrong and then, “eagle?” but no, a goose. I wondered if for some reason it just decided to foot it overnight because it hard to miss them in the daytime? In some spots they are as plentiful as pigeons or seagulls.
